Stéphane Coutelle is an established fine art and beauty photographer. He has led a rich and diversified career, always willing to reinvent himself and explore new grounds.

He shot fashion pictures and celebrity portraits in the late 80's, became a painter of large, hypnotic portraits in the 90's, before coming back to photography and becoming a worldwide reference in beauty advertising photography and film making.

The most beautiful women have posed for him, sometimes long before they became famous : Monica Bellucci, Laetitia Casta, Olga Kurylenko, Camille Razat, Camille Rowe, Elisa Sednaoui, Claudia Schiffer, Milla Jovovich, Marine Delterme, Natalia Vodianova, Guinevere Van Seenus...

In parallel, Stéphane Coutelle never ceased to work on ambitious and diversified personal projects. He published five books : Me Myself and I in 1995, Shoebox Studio in 2012, Insomnies in 2014, CARBONE  in 2019 and 2020 in 2021.

Insomnies’ pictures were exposed in Paris by ArtStudioK gallery, as part of Le Mois de la Photo program.  New exhibitions took place in Paris when CARBONE and 2020 were released. GenZ, his series of portraits of over 200 teenagers, was shown at Cri des Lumières in 2024.

Since 2019, Stéphane Coutelle has been teaching portrait photography at Ecole des Gobelins in Paris. That year, he co-founded the online gallery and publishing house  La Belle Étoile* which has released award-winning photography books.

Beside other projects in progress, GenZ's book will be released early 2026.
